*THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON GOVERNMENT AWARD and CLEARANCE VERIFICATION*

We are looking for the ideal candidate with extensive knowledge and experience to provide program acquisition logistics recommendations, program coordination and guidance to support the decision-making process for PM SW Product Directors.

Location: Picatinny Arsenal, NJ

Responsibilities

You will be expected to provide recommendations to the Director of Logistics as representative for PM SW as a primary point of contact regarding the executing and supporting Unique Identification for Small Arms.

  1. Provide support of research and development, production and fielding of the close support and individual weapons and related efforts.

  2. Provide program acquisition logistics recommendations, program coordination and guidance to support the decision-making process

  3. Produce, review and provide comments on reports and prepare original acquisition documents, as required, in support of milestone and other acquisition decisions.

  4. Perform as Lead Logistics POC for Materiel Release (MR) tracking

  5. Attend and support Logistics and other Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, research efforts, analyses, and reviews in the specific areas

Specific Requirements

  1. Demonstrate a solid understanding of

    1. Army acquisition and logistics processes

    2. DoD and DA Item Unique Identification (IUID) requirements and policy in the execution of IUID coordinator activities

    3. Posses working understanding of the various MR types (i.e., urgent, conditional and full) and the required actions needed to meet associated timelines and requirements.

    4. Ability to work with various Army organizations, MR tracking system and IPTs to resolve MR actions and conditions

    5. Line Item Number (LIN) Allocation and Distribution (LAD) process. The LAD process requires a detailed understanding and experience of working the initial steps of the Army fielding schedule development process.

  2. Provide recommendations to the Director of Logistics, Product Directors and IPTs in regard to executing and supporting Unique Identification

  3. Provide expertise and coordination assistance in the continued implementation of all of PM Soldier Weapons Unique Identifier Description (UID) initiatives

  4. Interface with IUID support offices, HQ AMC, depot activities, and TACOM functional representatives; coordinate development of IUID marking procedures in coordination with contractor, ARDEC and TACOM personnel

  5. Ensure all IUID requirements are included in all contracts; ensure all IUID deliverables are in compliance with contract requirements/deliverables; develop IUID implementation plan and other IUID reports and/or documents; and work within the IUID registry.

  6. Load PM available assets into the Army Equipping Enterprise System (AE2S).

  7. Perform review of logistics engineering and ILS documents for completeness and synchronization to the individual program's objectives.

  8. Provide comments, recommendations, and coordinate reviews (as required) to support PM SW objectives. (work requires the ability to work and answer various taskers on daily basis for higher HQ)

Qualifications

  1. Experience in the US Army acquisition and logistics process as it relates to armament systems.
  2. Knowledge of Army Regulations (e.g., AR 700-127, 142, & 145) and the documentation requirements for DoD Milestones, Type Classification, and Materiel Release (AR 700-142) is required.
  3. Experience with Army materiel release process, Army fielding and asset distribution process, Army acquisition process
  4. Knowledge of DFARS and Military Standard to advise Government on contractual issues
  5. Extensive military background is desired to understand the logistics implications at both the Soldier and Unit level.
  6. Extensive acquisition logistics, experience is required to in order to understand and perform Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) tasks required during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) and Production and Deployment (P&D) phases.
  7. Effective written and verbal communication
  8. US Citizen
  9. SECRET security clearance REQUIRED
