Job Summary
Software Professional Solutions (SPS) is currently seeking qualified candidates to serve as an  Acquisition Logistics Support Analyst to the Program/Product Manager.  
 
 

We are looking for the ideal candidate with extensive knowledge and experience providing program acquisition logistics recommendations, program coordination and guidance to all logistics activities as required for Milestone Decisions (i.e., Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, ILS certifications, etc.), support equipment and tools specific to small arms, technical manual development as well as validation and verification of the same, small arms requirements on packaging, handling, storage, and transportation, and development of small arms new equipment training.
We are seeking a professional with experience in working the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements (IPSE) as defined in the AR 700-127 with additional activities spelled out in the associated DA PAM. Need a take charge individual to assist the PM and project officers.

Location: Northern, NJ

Responsibilities

  • Provided in support of research and development, production and fielding of small caliber ammunition, weapon systems, and accessories.
  • Develop an Approved Item Name, request Type Designator, ZLIN, develop a Basis of Issue Plan Feeder Data, request a NSN, develop a Material Fielding Plan
  • Provide technical program acquisition related recommendations and direct oversight pertaining to projects in support of Program/Project Manager related accessory and support equipment programs throughout their life cycle.
  • Support the Test IPT in development of test plans as well as presentation/reporting of test activities and data.
  • Provide support in all acquisition logistics activities including preparation of program documents as required for Milestone Decisions (i.e., Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, ILS certifications, etc.), acquisition requirement plans (ARP)s, support equipment and tools specific to small arms, Logistics Task Analysis, technical manual development as well as validation and verification of the same, small arms requirements on packaging, handling, storage, and transportation, and development of small arms new equipment training.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years’ of experience in the US Army logistics process to include development of LCSP, Material Releases, and BOIP.
  • Knowledge of Army Regulations (e.g., AR 700-127, 700-142) and the documentation requirements for DoD Milestones is required.
  • Familiarization with Class V Ammunition of all types, bombs, explosives, mines, fuses, detonators, pyrotechnics, missiles, rockets, propellants, and associated items and Class VII Major end items such as launchers, tanks, mobile machine shops, some parachute systems and vehicles supplies.
  • Military background is desired to understand the logistics implications at both the Soldier and Unit level.
  • Extensive acquisition logistics, experience working the twelve (12) Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements is required to in order to understand and perform Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) tasks required during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) and Production and Deployment (P&D) phases.
  • Extensive knowledge and use of DoD and DA logistical websites such as FEDLOG, FMSWeb, AESIP, cQuiP/SLAMIS, JETDAS, cPROBE, AR-COP, WebFLIS, DLA (H6), and AE2S.
  • MOS 51C/D/Z preferred but MOS 89D acceptable
  • Highly proficient at MS Office products, and ADOBE 
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • US Citizen
  • SECRET security clearance REQUIRED
