Description

*THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON GOVERNMENT AWARD and CLEARANCE VERIFICATION*

We are looking for the ideal candidate with extensive knowledge and experience to provide support in all logistics activities including preparation of program documents as required for Milestone Decisions (i.e., Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, ILS certifications, etc.), provisioning, support equipment and tools specific to assigned programs in the Remote Weapon Station, Gunner Protection Kit and related accessory and support equipment programs throughout their life cycle;
technical manual development as well as validation and verification of the same, requirements on packaging, handling, storage, and transportation, computer resources, development of new equipment training and materiel fielding.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide program acquisition recommendations, program coordination and guidance to support the decision-making process for PM SW Product Directors
  2. Provided in support of research and development, production and fielding of small caliber ammunition, weapon systems, and accessories.
  3. Provide technical program acquisition related recommendations and direct oversight pertaining to projects in support of PM Crew Served Weapons (PM CSW) related accessory and support equipment programs throughout their life cycle.
  4. Attend and lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings
  5. Provide research, analyses, and reviews.
  6. review and provide comments on reports and prepare original acquisition documents
  7. Support the Test IPT in development of test plans as well as presentation/reporting of test activities and data.
  8. Provide support in all acquisition logistics activities including preparation of program documents as required for Milestone Decisions (i.e., Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, ILS certifications, etc.), acquisition requirement plans (ARP)s, support equipment and tools specific to small arms, Logistics Task Analysis, technical manual development as well as validation and verification of the same, small arms requirements on packaging, handling, storage, and transportation, and development of small arms new equipment training.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the US Army logistics process as it relates to armament systems.
  • Knowledge of Army Regulations (e.g., AR 700-127) and the documentation requirements for DoD Milestones, Type Classification, and Materiel Release (AR 700-142) is required.
  • Extensive military background is desired to understand the logistics implications at both the Soldier and Unit level.
  • Extensive acquisition logistics, experience is required to in order to understand and perform Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) tasks required during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) and Production and Deployment (P&D) phases.
