*THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON GOVERNMENT AWARD and CLEARANCE VERIFICATION*

We are looking for the ideal candidate with extensive knowledge and experience to provide program acquisition recommendations, program coordination and guidance to support the decision-making process for PM SW Product Directors.
Location: Picatinny Arsenal, NJ

Responsibilities

  1. Attend and lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings,
  2. Provide research, analyses, and reviews.
  3. Review and provide comments on reports and prepare original acquisition documents (i.e research and development, production and fielding of small caliber ammunition, weapon systems, and accessories).
  4. Provide technical program acquisition related recommendations and direct oversight pertaining to PMSW rifle/carbine and squad designated marksman, subcompact, suppressor, Soldier Enhancement Program (SEP) related accessory and support equipment programs throughout their life cycle.
  5. Support the Test IPT in development of test plans as well as presentation/reporting of test activities and data
  6. Maintain the continuity of work processes within Business Management Information System to integrate with external electronic data sources to include, Acquisition Database, Life Cycle Cost Estimate (LCCE), Program Budget and Accounting System (PBAS), Systems Applications and Products (SAP), General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Standard Operation and Maintenance Army Research and Development System (SOMARDS) and other financial systems as needed.
  7. Integrate information technologies and enhancements to Business Management Information System software into GFEBS and develop new IT business reporting solutions.
  8. Perform on-site support through activities associated with the sustainment of business processes and systems through increased application interoperability and data collaboration.
  9. Create new and improved current management dashboards to maintain focus on important metrics and work on complex projects which will require original thinking and new approaches.
  10. Provide an on-site presence to perform as Subject Matter Expert (SME) throughout the process of integrating GFEBS into PM SW Business Management Information Systems, as well as providing training and blocks of instruction for GFEBS.
  11. Support the business office staff by generating financial reports, database management and GFEBS analysis
  12. Provide on-site data population, maintenance, system enhancement and/or refinement.
  13. Conduct, coordinate, and participate in regular Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings on assigned programs to ensure satisfactory progress and established milestone schedules are met or exceeded.
  14. Participate in a joint review with the Government to address progress, performance, and answer any questions that the Government may have with the PM SW Business Management Information Systems/Reports.
  15. Develop and execute plans and policy, determine requirements and needs, investigate and resolve problems, interface with other functions and outside personnel, and assist in the preparation and maintenance of budget materials, reports, and documentation.
  16. Work on complex projects which will require original thinking and new approaches, providing day-to-day support for business office staff on a major program(s), sets priorities, and ensures that the work products for the group conform to standards.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the US Army logistics process as it relates to small caliber systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of Army Regulations (e.g., AR 700-127) and the documentation requirements for DoD Milestones, Type Classification, and Materiel Release (AR 700-142) is required.
  • Extensive military background is desired to understand the logistics implications at both the Soldier and Unit level.
  • Extensive acquisition logistics, experience is required to in order to understand and perform Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) tasks required during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) and Production and Deployment (P&D) phases.
