Job Summary

Software Professional Solutions is seeking a Radar Engineer to support on-going research and development (R&D) efforts at one of the Army’s premier R&D Centers of Excellence at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. This position includes opportunities to influence and support Army next generation RADAR, RF, Electronic Warfare (EW), and C4ISR systems and technologies. The Engineer collaborates with our customer, vendors, and the Parsons team to influence and develop the next generation of radar systems, signal data processing technologies, and electronic protection techniques. The Engineer supports the analysis, research, development, test and evaluation of new technologies for current and future Army radar systems, including Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR,) and Moving Target Indicator (MTI), Counterfire Target Acquisition, and Force Protection radar systems.

This position requires U.S. citizenship. Top Secret SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications and Skills
  • BS (MS preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field.
  • 10+ years of experience in radar or RF systems design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, data analysis, and model and simulation (M&S).
  • 10+ years of systems engineering experience with radar, RF, and C4ISR systems.
  • 10+ years experience with radar/RF signal processing and systems engineering and testing including algorithm development.
  • Experience developing test plans, test procedures, schedules, and reports for laboratory and field tests/demonstrations.
  • Experience in using agile development methodologies for system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis
  • Experience in preparing technical reports, technical briefings, technical drawings, performance work statements, system developmental schedules, performance specifications, and requirements documentation.
  • Experience performing trade studies, research, and the analysis of radar/RF concepts and capabilities.
  • This position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance, which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain, or currently possess Top Secret SCI clearance.
