This is a Tele Work position

We are looking for the ideal candidate with extensive knowledge and experience providing program management engineering and logistical support for programs in production, performing program control functions and coordinating Materiel Release documents, activities between production Contractors and Government organizations, execution of solicitations, engineering studies, test activities and Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings.
The ideal candidate will have teh skills and knowledge to prepare recommendations based on test data using sound scientific practices, analyze simulation training requirements, review program documents as required for Milestone Decisions (e.g., Acquisition Strategy, Test and Evaluation Master Plan, System Engineering Plan, Program Protection Plan, System Assessment, Integrated Program Summary, Simulation Support Plan, Performance Specifications, Environmental Effects Report, Insensitive Munitions Plan of Action and Milestones, Production Readiness Report, Failure Analysis Report.
You will be expected to provide technical analysis of system design and system performance for program acquisition support and assistance in milestone package development and decision making processes for PMIW Product Directors under the Airburst, Fire Control & Optics Division specifically on Counter Defilade Target Engagement Weapon Systems, M320 GLM, Grenade Sighting System, Squad Fire Control, and optics programs. This will be accomplished through the review and analysis of technical design documentation and performance data, development of required documentation, participation in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings as required, providing research, analyses, and preparing reports, and reviewing and commenting on documents. These efforts will be provided in support of research and development, production and fielding of small caliber ammunition and weapon systems.

  • Responsibilities
  • Technical System Acquisition Action Staff Officer
  • Assess weapon, fire control, and optics designs, specifications, and performance data
  • Review program requirement documents Initial Capabilities Document (ICD), Capability Development Document (CDD), and Capability Production Document (CPD)
  • Assist overall program execution by monitoring/reporting on technical data and analysis to support program documentation.
  • Prepare and review draft briefing materials
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree
  • 10+ years experience in ...
  • Experience with DoD accounting systems, i.e. SOMARDS /GFEBS
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to prepare documents for Materiel Release, brief at program reviews and board meetings, monitor deliveries/shipments, and assist with scheduling hardware availability.

  • SECRET security clearance REQUIRED
